I’ve mentioned Gawain Weaver Art conservation before, this time he has published a 19th century photographic print process chart for free download. Of course I already have the well known James M. Reilly chart, but this is really neat because of the color scales and it’s more based on step by step use. Great!

The Unseen

A little nerdy conservation fact; you can identify film made of polyester, because light will shine through when looking at the whole filmrole. If it is completely black it will either be nitrate or acetate film. Which in this case follows the year of the film nicely.

The Field Offices hold an amazing range of records and Anne has treated presidential pardons, Titanic records, lighthouse drawings, a Charlie Chaplin poster, and maps of the Sutter Ranch (of Gold Rush fame), just to name a few.
